Control Apple Music on Mac From iPhone
Use Poket PC media tiles, the Music tile in the default deck and the live screen to control Apple Music on your Mac from your iPhone.
Poket PC is one iPhone app for your Mac, not a separate remote for every program. You reach apps in three ways: action tiles on the Deck (media and volume keys, and one-tap Music or Safari), the live screen (tap what you see), and Ask (an assistant that carries out tasks on the Mac, using your Claude subscription through Claude Code or a local model in Ollama). These pages explain how that maps to the apps people ask about most often.
| App on your Mac | What Poket PC adds |
|---|---|
| Spotify | Media and volume tiles, the live screen for browsing, and Ask |
| Apple Music | Media tiles, the Music tile in the default deck, and the live screen |
| Claude Code | Ask can use Claude Code on your Mac as its model; the live screen and keyboard reach Claude Code in Terminal |
Install the Mac helper, pair your iPhone, then open Deck for tiles or Screen for full control. Away-from-home access uses the same encrypted relay as everything else in Poket PC.
You need the Mac helper running on macOS 14 or later and an iPhone on iOS 18 or later. Tiles send system media keys, not private commands inside Spotify or Music. Anything that needs a menu bar item, a dialog, or a web login still belongs on the live screen or in Ask. When Ask uses a cloud model, your task and the screenshots it needs go to that model’s provider.
Away from home, the same relay path applies as for every other Poket PC session: encrypted end-to-end, no port forwarding.
The iPhone app is in a public TestFlight beta while 1.0 is in App Review: join from the beta page. Poket PC 1.0 is free, with no ads and no in-app purchases.

Ask can use Claude Code on your Mac, signed in to your own Claude plan, as its model. What the Mac needs, and what goes to Anthropic.
Yes, through the live screen: you see the Mac's main display and tap what you would click. Tiles cover the common jobs: media and volume keys, opening Music, Safari or Notes, and system actions such as Lock and Mission Control. There is no per-app plug-in.
No. One Poket PC iPhone app pairs with your Mac. The media tiles send the same keys as a Mac keyboard, so they work with whichever player macOS sends those keys to.
Not in 1.0. The launch tiles are Music and Safari in the default deck, and Notes from the add list. Open any other app from the live screen, or ask Ask to do it.
